# Social Engagement

The Swarm's Social Engagement endpoints give you access to the social activity happening around profiles in your network — pulling posts, and the engagement those posts generate, directly from LinkedIn.

Whether you're looking to identify active voices in a space, understand who's engaging with your network's content, or build enriched outreach workflows, this data opens up a layer of signal that goes well beyond profile information alone.

This endpoint is in beta. Please report any issues to [support@theswarm.com](mailto:support@theswarm.com)

## Available endpoints

The social engagement suite is built around a simple chain: you start with posts, then drill into the engagement on each one.

* **Get Profile Posts** — retrieves posts from a profile’s social media accounts, with the latest 10 returned by default. Use the `perPage` parameter to fetch up to 100 posts per request. This is the starting point for profile-based social engagement workflows and the source of the `postUrn` values used by the other endpoints [View API reference](/docs/on-demand/get-profile-posts)
* **Get Profile Companies’ Posts** — retrieves posts from the company social media accounts associated with a profile, with the latest 10 returned by default. Use the `perPage` parameter to fetch up to 100 posts per request. This is the starting point for company-based social engagement workflows and the source of the `postUrn` values used by the other endpoints. [View API reference](/docs/on-demand/get-company-posts).
* **Get Profile's Comments** — pulls all comments on a given post, identified by its `postUrn`. Useful for finding who's engaging with content and what they're saying. [View API reference](/docs/on-demand/get-comments)
* **Get Reactions** — pulls reactions for a given post. Gives you a quick signal of reach and sentiment without needing to parse comment text. [View API reference](/docs/on-demand/get-reactions)
* **Get Reshares** — pulls reshares for a given post. Reshares indicate strong endorsement and help you identify people actively amplifying content in your network. [View API reference](/docs/on-demand/get-reshares)

## Where to use this in your workflow

Social engagement data is most powerful when combined with profile and network data already available in The Swarm:

* **Identify active prospects** — find people in your network who are regularly posting, and use that as a warm signal before reaching out
* **Map engagement around content** — see who's commenting on or resharing posts from key people in your industry, and surface new contacts worth adding to your network
* **Enrich outreach context** — reference a prospect's recent post or reaction as a conversation starter, making cold outreach feel considerably warmer
* **Build listening workflows** — pipe social activity into your CRM or automation tools to trigger follow-ups based on engagement signals in real time

## What's coming

Support for additional identifiers and broader social platform coverage is on the roadmap. If you have specific use cases or feedback on the current endpoints, reach out to [support@theswarm.com](mailto:support@theswarm.com).
