The Swarm MCP is a secure connection between The Swarm and AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Once connected, your assistant can search The Swarm’s relationship data — 500M+ professional profiles and 50M+ companies — and reason over your team’s network directly inside your chat.

You ask in plain language; the assistant does the searching, filtering, and summarizing. The connection is read-only, uses your own Swarm login, and respects your existing plan and permissions.

What you can do

Find people. Search across 500M+ professional profiles by role, seniority, company, location, skills, and more. Find companies. Search 50M+ companies by industry, size, location, funding, investor type, and other attributes. Discover relationships and warm paths. Ask who in your team’s network is connected to a given person or company, how strong those connections are, and who could make an introduction. Map a partner’s network. Point the assistant at a company or partner and have it map out that organization’s people and connections. Large maps are built in the background. See Tools & prompts for the full tool list and example prompts.

Authentication

The Swarm MCP uses OAuth. You sign in with your own Swarm account and approve a consent screen — the assistant only ever sees data your account is allowed to see, and you can disconnect at any time from your assistant’s connector settings. Use the correct Client ID for your assistant during setup: Walkthroughs: Connect in Claude · Connect in ChatGPT.

Who can use it

The MCP is available to workspace Owners, Admins, and Contributors. Viewers can’t connect the MCP.

Credits and cost

Access to The Swarm MCP is included with your Swarm plan. Most tools are free to call — browsing dictionaries, checking mapping and enrichment lookups, relationship lookups, and checking the status of a background job never consume credits.

When credits are charged

You’re charged 1 credit per successful search on the three data-retrieval tools:
  • Find profiles — 1 credit when a search returns one or more people.
  • Find companies — 1 credit when a search returns one or more companies.
  • Partner network mapper — 1 credit when a mapping returns matches.

Billing rules

  • Per call, not per record. A search that returns 500 results costs the same 1 credit as one that returns a single result.
  • Empty searches are free. If a search returns no results, no credit is used.
  • Included allowance. Every plan comes with a monthly allowance of included credits. On a trial, calls draw down your trial allowance. On a paid plan, calls beyond your included allowance are billed at your plan’s per-credit overage rate.
  • Overage protection. If your plan has overage protection enabled, usage stops at your included allowance instead of incurring extra charges.
  • Usage notifications. Owners and admins are emailed at 80%, 100%, and 150% of included credits used.
See Credits & Usage to check your team’s current usage.

Privacy

The connection is read-only, respects your plan and permissions, and can be disconnected at any time from your assistant’s connector settings. Your chat content is not stored by The Swarm. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
